Welcome to my corner of the world! I reside in North Carolina and proudly go by 'Nana' to my three wonderful grandchildren, Camden, Aria, and Rowan. I am also mom to my beautiful daughter, Amber. My loyal companion, Sadie, is a gentle dog with a bark that sounds fiercer than she is.
Writing poetry is my passion; I love transforming emotions into words. I grew up in Alabama, where the skies are breathtaking, and the hills, which I fondly call mountains, are a sight to behold. I have two sisters and one brother, and this year, we celebrated our mom’s 90th birthday!
My heart is drawn to poetry, lighthouses, bodies of water, candlelight, and the rare book that brings tears to my eyes, making me wish I could hug the fictional character who has endured so much heartache and disappointment. I also have a deep love for music. I don’t follow the ‘rules’ of writing lyrics because I don’t have enough patience to read them. I write from my heart, always.
While I’m often drawn to the beauty of love, nature, and memory, my pen sometimes wanders into harder places—grief, doubt, and the quiet ache of healing. I write those truths, too, because I believe they deserve a voice.
